A Mystery!

And probably not one associated with this Isaac.

The date co-incides nicely with the death of Charles Henry Tatam, age 15

I Disagree with this researcher - 1901 census shows that these children were from a different family in Wharfedale R.D. - Nathan & Margaret Ann Tatham.9
Note*3 December 1894 An event of "Died 03 Dec 1894?" - the name of Isaac Tatam was recorded against that date on Pilgrim's Progress owned by Mr. M.C. Hilton. No death/birth/marriage index entry in FreeBMD. Not in 1901 census.

A Mystery!

And probably not one associated with this Isaac.

(actually a half brother of Isaac).10

Long Sutton

Damaged Election Car:

Mr. G.F.C. Howard and other Magistrates has several cases before him, arising out of excitement of the election at the petty sessions on Friday. In one of these, Lewis Tatam of Fleet, mechanic, was summoned for throwing stones so as to cause injury to property and danger to passengers on the road, at Long Sutton, on Jan 8th. Mr. M Merry of Spalding appeared for the defendant. P.C. Leachman said he saw defendant throw a stone which broke the window of Mr. Royce's car. Mr Merry said defendant absolutely denied this allegation and had four witnesses who asserted that the defendant never threw a stone at Mr. Royce's car, or anything at anybody. Witnesses on both sides having been heard, the Chairman said that in this prosecution their opinions were divided, and the case would therefore have to be dismissed."7

Maintenance order against Newark man

Walter G. Frith, painting contractor, of 4 Wellington Road, Newark, was summoned at Grantham today by his wife, Mary Eliza Frith, of 3 North Terrace, Grantham, to show cause why an order should not be made on him to contribute to her maintenance.

Mr. J. Norton appeared for Mrs. Frith, who said she married the defendant in December 1901, and that there were no children under age. Defendant left her in January 1931, and had not since returned. He entered into an arrangement to pay her £1 a week, either personally or through a bank, but had failed to carry this out.

Defendant did not appear, and the magistrates made an order for him to pay his wife £1 a week.13
